The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the xCELLigence Real-Time Cell Analysis (RTCA) eSight Imaging and Impedance system from Agilent Technologies Inc.
This system has a dual modality platform that provides impedance-based and real-time, label-free cell analysis in a noninvasive format. It enables high-sensitivity readouts for a broad range of applications including immunotherapy, virology, drug discovery, and cancer biology. With five independently operated cradles, support for both proprietary and conventional plate formats, and multi-channel fluorescence imaging, the system provides versatility required for studies. The system has ability to perform simultaneous real-time measurements of cell migration and cytotoxicity in a 96- well format which is an important feature for the research team and valuable for functional assays such as ADCC, CDC, and immune cell killing studies. The proprietary interdigitated gold electrode pattern covers approximately 60% of the well surface area of the E-Plate View 96, maximizing sensitivity and reproducibility and all components of the E-Plate View 96 are biocompatible, sterile, and tissue-culture treated.
Agilent Technologies is the sole manufacturer and exclusive distributor of the xCELLigence RTCA eSight system and its associated software and consumables in Canada
