The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the BX53 Teaching Microscope systems, DP23 Digital Cameras, objectives lenses, cellSens imaging software and accessories from Evident Canada Mis, Inc. All anatomic pathologists in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine use the same modal and style of microscope, digital camera and cellSens imaging software for teaching, research, clinical, and diagnostic work. This standardized setup enables pathologists to consult collaboratively on cases by sharing images and is integrated with the faculty’s digital slide scanner. The required microscope system, digital camera, and accessories must be compatible with existing equipment in the facility, particularly with Olympus cellSens software. Additionally, the DP23 digital camera is exclusively compatible with cellSens software. To ensure seamless compatibility with current instruments and software, the faculty requires both the new teaching microscope and digital camera to be purchased from the same vendor.
