The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award a service contract to Camille Marie Nicole Thirouin translation services. The PREVNet Project team requires translation services from English to French. Due to the specialized nature of the work, an in depth understanding of topics such as: dating violence, bullying, other forms of gender-based violence, prevention, and intersectionality is required. Many of the definitions used in these projects do not have direct translations, and instead require a nuanced way to accurately convey concepts. Ms. Thirouin has extensive experience in this area and has specifically worked for the PREVNet project for multiple years. Her deep understanding of these topics ensures consistency with the project's long-standing work. Hiring Ms. Thirouin is crucial to maintaining consistency with past translations and ensuring coherence in reports across gender-based violence projects funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada from 2024-2029.
