The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the Tuttnauer Model 66C-ECP-V Pre-Vac Sterilizer with installation and maintenance services from Tuttnauer’s authorized distributor and service dealer, Alpha Scientific Repair Services Ltd. The 66C Laboratory Autoclave is a dependable, safe and cost-effective, a high-performance industrial autoclave, engineered to meet the highest expectations of laboratory and scientific research centers. The UCalgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine requires the autoclave for teaching and research purposes to ensure compatibility with the design of the Veterinary Learning Commons building project at Spy Hill. Due to the autoclave being a large “built to order” piece of equipment which requires specialized technicians approved by the manufacturer (Tuttnauer), the vendor must have a direct employee/technician, authorized by Tuttnauer to work on the Model 66C, who can provide on-site support services in a timely manner. It is the faculty’s understanding that only Alpha Scientific Repair Services can meet all the requirements.
