University of Calgary - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Universal Hardness Tester

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase Universal Hardness Tester and accessories from Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company. The current equipment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering undergraduate lab utilizes Tinius Olsen Horizon Software for data acquisition. The department requires the Tinius Olsen Universal Hardness Tester, which can interface with this software, enabling seamless data collection and export. Additionally, it has an 8-position turret allowing for additional flexibility in testing types, a collision detection system, and a motorized Z Axis. It’s the department’s understanding that only Tinius Olsen’s Universal Hardness Tester can accommodate the most types of hardness testers simultaneously.
