Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development & Tourism (FMWBEDT) invites qualified organizations or consortiums to design, administer and deliver the Business Assist Program, a hands-on business support and capacity-building initiative for small and medium-sized businesses in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.
The program provides time-limited, individualized access to qualified specialists who will work alongside business owners or employees through practical training, guidance, knowledge transfer and implementation support. The objective is to help participating businesses address specific challenges while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to independently manage and sustain improvements. Assistance is intended to result in both a tangible business improvement or completed resource and increased participant capability.
The maximum proposed contract budget is CAD $100,000 before applicable GST, inclusive of program setup, administration, expert fees, outreach, technology, reporting, six-month follow-up tool development and handover, and all other costs. GST, if applicable, must be shown separately. The successful Proponent will coordinate the full program and subject-matter experts. This is not a referral-only service, a series of standalone workshops or a guarantee of participant demand.
