SUMMARY
The Statement of Requirement:
The Contractor is to fabricate and deliver a Brow Stand and
Gangways for the Department of National Defence in accordance
with the requirement attached as Annex A and the Financial Bid
Presentation Sheet attached as Annex B.
The Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton, located at HMC
Dockyard, Esquimalt, BC has the following requirement:
1. The fabrication and delivery of:
a. one (1) 8 foot aluminum Brow Stand fabricated IAW drawing
no. 1050002 (5 pages);
b. four (4) 18 foot Gangways per Drawing Number DND-QHM-12 -
018-01 and 018-02;
c. two (2) 20 foot Gangways per Drawing Number DND-QHM-12 -
020-01 and 020-02; and,
d. two (2) 22 foot Gangways per Drawing Number DND-QHM-12 -
022-01 and 022-02.
The gangways are to be fabricated in accordance with drawings
provided.
2. All welding is to be in accordance with CSA 59.2 - Welded
Aluminum Construction.
DELIVERY:
Deliver FCA Free Carrier (Incoterms 2010) to Colwood, BC on or
before 29 March 2013.
SOURCING STRATEGY
The sourcing strategy related to this work will be limited to
suppliers in Canada in accordance with Shipbuilding, Refit,
Repair and Modernization Policy (1996-12-19), subject to the
Agreement on Internal Trade. The work is exempt from the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), see Chapter Ten Annex
1001.2b Paragraph 1, and the World Trade Organization Agreement
on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP). See Annex 4.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
