Project description:

This project consists of adding base building services to the
West annex of the Sir John Carling Building. It is mainly
divided into two components:
1- add an electrical high voltage main service to the building
2 -add a new boiler in the basement mechanical room.

MANDATORY SECURITY REQUIREMENT: This procurement contains a
mandatory security requirement as follows:

SECURITY REQUIREMENT FOR CANADIAN SUPPLIER:
PWGSC FILE # EP077-130575

1. The Contractor must, at all times during the performance
of the Contract, hold a valid Designated Organization Screening
(DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate
(CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).

2. The Contractor personnel requiring access to sensitive
work site(s) must EACH hold a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted
or approved by CISD/PWGSC.

3. Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to
be awarded without the prior written
permission of CISD/PWGSC.

4. The Contractor must comply with the provisions of the:

(a) Security Requirements Check List and security guide (if
applicable), attached at Annex A;
(b) Industrial Security Manual (Latest Edition).

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
There will be a site visit on July 18, 2012 at 10:00 A.M.
Interested bidders shall meet at the main entrance of Sir John
Carling Building, 930 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.

Enquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no
less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to
allow sufficient time to respond.
Pursuant to GC6 - Delays and Changes in Work of the General
Conditions, the resulting construction contract will include the
provisions for changes in the work at the request of the
Departmental Representative.

Works and Government Services Canada and may be viewed at the
