Work under this contract involves the provision of all albour,
materials and equipment required to deliver Phase 3A of
streetworks upgrades within the Waterton Townsite. Watertown
Lakes National Park, Alberta. The first phase of upgrades was
completed in 2007 and the second phase of upgrades was completed
in 2008.
The current phase includes the replacement of concrete sidewalks
and asphalt along Windflower Avenue, between Harefell Road and
Fountain Avenue. The work required under the current phase
includes but is not limited to the following:
-removal and replacement of approximately 481 lineal metres of
concrete sidewalk. New sidewalk will be of a combined rolled
curb gutter design, with crossings and wheelchair ramps as
required.
-removal (by milling) of full depth of existing chipseal /
asphalt. Millings to be stockpiled for use diring roadway
reconstruction.
-Preparation, grading and compactionof roadway sub-base and base
using millings and imported gravel.
-Supply and placement of 75mm lift of hot ix asphalt.
-All incidental items required to deliver a complete job,
including rehabilitation of all soft and hard landscaping
disturbed during construcion.
Constructon Date: Construction to begin September 17, 2012 with
a completion date no later than November 9th, 2012..
NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.
There will be an optional site visit on August 15, 2012 at 10:00
A.M. Interested bidders are to meet at the Waterton Townsite
Firehall, Waterton Lakes, Alberta.
Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Code of Conduct:
Under the Code of Conduct and Certification provisions, General
Instructions to Bidders (GI) - R2710T (2012-07-16), Bidders
must submit the following as part of their bid:
-a complete list of names of all individuals who are currently
directors of the Bidder;
-a properly completed and signed Consent Form, for each
individual named in the aforementioned list
Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
