PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: EP788-130872/A, R.011971.212,
Confederation Building Fire Alarm Audibility Upgrade, 229
Wellington Street, Ottawa. Ontario.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The existing fire alarm system in the Confederation Building at
229 Wellington Street, Ottawa, ON is dated, in poor condition,
and not functioning correctly. The system does not meet today's
National and Ontario Building Codes and Fire Codes with respect
to required audibility levels throughout the various offices and
occupied areas of the building. After tests and studies it was
determined that the existing system must be replaced in its
entirety, with new code compliant fire alarm audibility devices
along with additional devices added throughout the building.
Work is to be completed within forty (40) weeks after contract
award.
