Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest/Lower Bid
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: No
Nature of Requirements:
The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) - Montreal
Royalmount wants to expand its capabilities in biophysical
characterization of macromolecules and macromolecular assemblies
in support of industrial clients and internal projects in the
Biologics and Vaccines programs. Analysis of antibodies and
derivatives (Fab, Fc, Fc fusions) will consitute a significant
fraction of the analyses anticipated, but other candidate
biotherapeutics or vaccines which are anticipated to be analyzed
include other proteins, nucleic acids, polysaccharides,
polymers, nanoparticles and virus-like particles. Among the
essential characterizations for any candidate biotherapeutic or
vaccine is the purity, molecular size, and homogeneity with
respect to charge and glycosylation variants. Capillary
electrophoresis is an increasingly recognized approach accepted
by regulatory agencies as a methodology for characterization of
molecular size, charge, purity and homogeneity.
Since this capability is currently lacking at the NRC-Montreal
Royalmount, the NRC wishes to purchase a capillary
electrophoresis system.
The work consists of supply, delivery, installation of the
system at the NRC address and training on equipment use; all of
the work must be completed preferably by January 31st, 2014 but
mandatory before March 31, 2014.
Delivery Date: Above-mentioned
