Nature of Requirements:
Requirement: Supply, on an as-needed basis, 99.998% liquid nitrogen, high-density and saturated to a pressure of less than 10 psig, to DRDC. The Contractor shall have a truck equipped with an ORCA connection compatible with the DRDC fill valve located outside. The system of DRDC is equipped with a reservoir of 1000 litres, equipped with a telemetry who notifies the Contractor when the time comes of filling. Two alarms are programmed, a 40% and another 20%. Delivery must be completed as soon as the first signal will be triggered that corresponds to an average of 7 to 10 days. However, the device NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) must be filled with liquid nitrogen every week.We receive on average, every week, 510 litres of liquid nitrogen.
Special Consideration: There must always be liquid nitrogen in the tank. In the event a lack of liquid nitrogen, the equipment would stop to run and then it would cost around $25,000 to reset it on.
Period of the Contract: The period of the Contract is from May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2021 (3 years) with two (2) additional year periods in option.
Trade Agreements: The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
