Background

The Government of Canada has mandated federal government departments and agencies to undertake several IT projects e.g. desktop upgrade, email transformation, telecommunications transformation, data centre transformation, etc. in a relatively short period of time. Concurrently, the CNSC has multiple internal high-priority IT projects it is undertaking.

As a result, a requirement exists within the CNSC IMTD (Information Management and Technology Directorate) to develop an overall IT communications strategy and supporting project specific communications plans and products.

Objectives

Aligned with the overall corporate communications approach, the object is to clearly communicate to CNSC management and employees the purpose, impact, rationale, end-user expectations/actions and outcomes of these projects to ensure successful project implementation. To ensure coordinated and smooth implementation of several concurrent IMTD projects that effect most, or all, CNSC employees.
