Title: IMTS HR Administration Support
The Department’s Information Management and Technical Services {IM&TS) Directorate supports departmental program delivery through the provision of information management and information technology (IM/IT) services. The recent Government of Canada {GC) launch of the $1.5 billion Oceans Protection Plan (OPP) will see significant investments in the Canadian Coast Guard and DFO to protect our coasts and build a science-based, state-of-the-art marine safety system that will help ensure our waters are kept clean, safe and healthy for future generations. As a result, it is anticipated that the demand for IM/IT programs and services will significantly increase over the next two to three years, which will in turn increase IM&TS' staffing requirements.
The Business Management Integration and Engagement (BMIE) Branch oversees the administration of HR within IMTS. BMIE has a requirement for a level 3 Senior HR Consultant and two level 1 Junior Human Resources (HR) Consultants on an "as when and needed" basis to support various HR requirements within the Directorate, including an increase in HR administration as a result of new program delivery (i.e. OPP) .
The work is currently being performed by contracted resources
