The Canadian Forces Virtual Library (CFVL) is the Department of
National Defence (DND) and Canadian Forces' (CAF)
enterprise-level portal to information. It delivers access to
full-text journals, defence reports and open source analysis in
areas relating to the military and naval sciences, strategic
studies, terrorism, business & management, and Canadian studies.
It is available worldwide from any authorized Department of
National Defence workstation or network via remote access.
The Canadian Forces Virtual Library requires a two (2) year
subscription, plus a one (1) year option to INSPEC with a search
interface in both official languages and embedded free links to
existing full-text content provided by CFVL licensed databases;
Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete, Computer
Source, International Security and counter-terrorism Reference
Center, Military and Government, SocIndex with Full-text and
Vente et Gestion in order to provide desk-top access to
scholarly abstracts and indexing appropriate to DND and the CAF
engineering education programmes as well as other DND learning
institutions.
