In 2019 the College went out to competitive bid (BVC_2019RFP003) for a curriculum management system. Kuali™ was the successful proponent and a 5-year contract was signed at that time.
Kuali™ is a product that enables the College’s curriculum management governance process,
Academic calendar production and Government of Alberta program proposal submission.
For the last 5 years, Bow Valley College has used Kuali for:
- Program Proposal submission
- Course outline creation and maintenance
- Academic calendar creation
- Course, program, admission requirement approval system to support internal governance process
- Active course listing for tuition compliance
- Reports on specific course types (i.e WIL)
- Repository for program Admission requirements
- Program completion requirements for graduation audits
- Templates courses for intake build in SIS
- Reference data for ALIS website production
And has integrated the use of Kuali into:
- Government of Alberta, PAPRS
- The Legacy Student Information System
- The forthcoming Student Information system.
