Title: DFO Hangar Building Mezzanine Offices

Work Description:
Work under this contract comprises of renovations to the 2nd floor mezzanine area of the Institute of Ocean Sciences (IOS) DFO Hangar in Sidney, BC.
The work consists of the following, as fully described in the Tender Documents:
1) Add new exterior windows and glazing and modifying existing siding to suit
2) New insulated walls, partition walls and interior finishing
3) New washrooms and offices
4) Prepare existing concrete flooring for new flooring
5) Install new carpet tile and resilient flooring
6) New hand/guard railing and tread nosing’s to existing exit stair
7) New kitchen millwork
8) New electrical and mechanical services and connection to existing services
Work will be performed during normal business hours of the Department, 0730 to 1700, Monday through Friday. Any work to be done outside of those hours must be arranged in advance with the Departmental Representative.
Optional Site Visit:
There will be a site visit on July 10, 2018 at 9:00 am PST. Interested bidders are to meet at The Institute of Ocean Sciences, 9860 W Saanich Road, Sidney, BC V8L 5T5. Meet at the Front Desk and Sign in upon arrival.
Delivery Date:
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by October 31, 2018.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $650,000.00 and $750,000.00.
