Notice of Proposed Procurement
Item Required: Shirt, Bicycle, Long Sleeve & Short Sleeve
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has a requirement for a firm quantity of 880 shirts, bicycle, long sleeve and a firm quantity of 1480 shirts, bicycle, short sleeve in accordance with RCMP Specification G.S. 1045-311 dated 2017-01-26 and viewing sample.
The requirement includes two options for up to 300 long sleeve bicycle shirts each and two options for up to 500 short sleeve bicycle shirts each. Option 1 and Option 2 for both the long sleeve and short sleeve quantities can be exercised within 24 and 36 months of contract award, respectively.
There is also a requirement for up to 30 "as and when requested" special sizes of long sleeve bicycle shirts and and up to 30 "as and when requested" special sizes of short sleeve bicycle shirts which can be ordered within 36 months of contract award, respectively.
The Specification can be found attached to the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The RCMP viewing sample will only be available to bidders that are requested to submit a pre-contract award sample.
This requirement is subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
This requirement is conditionally limited to Canadian Goods (See AIT, Article 504, paragraph 6).
The responsive bid with the lowest total evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract (1 contract only).
The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
The Ineligibility and Suspension Policy and integrity clauses are being incorporated in RCMP contracting activities as outlined in this solicitation.
Bids must be submitted only to Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Bid Receiving Unit by the date, time and place indicated on page 1 of the bid solicitation.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
The bid solicitation documents contain all the requirements relating to the bid solicitation. Any other information or documentation provided to or obtained by a bidder from any source are not relevant. Bidders should not assume that practices used under previous contracts will continue, unless they are described in the bid solicitation. Bidders should also not assume that their existing capabilities meet the requirements of the bid solicitation simply because they have met previous requirements. It is the Bidder's responsibility to obtain clarification of the requirements contained in the bid solicitation, if necessary, before submitting a bid.
