Clear Hills County is considering purchasing investments, in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and our Investment policy.
To assist us in this purchase, would you please email lori@clearhillscounty.ab.ca a list of the investments available, which meet the following investment criteria, and the rate of return they will earn.
1. Investment type:
- All investments must be authorized by Section 250 (2) of the Municipal Government Act.
2. Investment Size
- The County currently has approximately $55 million in investments.
- The County will have additional funds to be invested after the July 17, 2026 property tax deadline.
- The County’s current investment portfolio consists of cash, GIC’s and other investments with maturity dates ranging from October 2026 to June 2037.
