The goal of the DBCIDM project is to replace the current out-of-date ink on paper fingerprinting processes within DND and to deliver a solution that will provide digitization, transfer and storage of biometrics (fingerprints and photographs) for candidate screening/verification, personnel security clearance checks, personnel identification, and policing requirements. The solution shall meet the standard for the Government of Canada by being compatible with the RCMP’s RTID.
This requirement includes the purchase of an Automated Biometric Information System (ABIS) and its related subsystems with a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based solution. This COTS based solution must be configurable to support the ABIS and its related subsystem requirements.
These requirements shall include the installation of all components and subsystems in the Production environments and test environment. This will include a primary and backup site for the production environment and one pre-production/test environment.
The proposed contract period is for 5 years inclusive, with an irrevocable option to extend the period by up to five additional one year periods under the same terms and conditions.
All enquiries and other communications related to this Request for Proposals shall be directed exclusively to the PWGSC Contracting Authority.
