IntroductionHealth Canada’s Tobacco Control Directorate (TCD) is seeking a qualified Contractor with experience in graphic design and package design to undertake concept design and layout of Health Information Messages (HIM), and Toxic Emissions Statements (TES) and Toxic Constituents Statements (TCS) for tobacco product packaging.
Objectives of the RequirementThe objective of the Contract is to design, new HIM and TES/TCS for possible display on packages of cigarettes, cigars, bidis, pipe tobacco, smokeless tobacco, waterpipe tobacco and other tobacco products. Part of the work of the Contractor will be to create innovative designs of HIM and TES/TCS, within the boundaries of current tobacco legislation.
Health Canada plans on using the new HIM and TES/TCS in the development of future labelling regulations for tobacco products.
