Nature of Requirements:
STEEL STORAGE CONTAINERS - RENTAL
To supply and deliver Steel Storage Containers, on a rental
basis, for the Department of National Defence (DND), at CFB
Borden and CFB Petawawa, Ontario, Canada, on an "as and when
requested" basis, as detailed in Annex A and Annex A-1,
Requirement, of the Request for Standing Offer (RFSO). The
period of the standing offer will be for five (5) years from
date of issuance (estimated to be 1 August 2012) to 31 July 2017.
Some of the mandatory criteria are as follows:
The Steel Storage Containers required are:
1. 8' x 20' Steel Storage Container;
2. 8' x 40' Steel Storage Container;
3. 40' Climate Controlled Storage Container;
4. 40' Storage Container with separate compartments and 8'
roll-up doors;
5. 20' Climate Controlled Storage Container (Electrical) DND to
supply hydro source/generator.
The containers for rental purposes must be CSA approved new or
used, steel construction, secure, wind and water-proof, rodent
free, fire resistant, hardwood floors, lock boxes, two (2)
lockable barn doors at one end only unless specified otherwise.
Climate controlled units (reefers) must come equipped with
insulation and its own refrigeration unit. Each container must
include a Container Safety Certificate (CSC) issued by the
manufacturer or equivalent, such as an Approved Continuous
Examination Program (ACEP). The used containers must be cleaned
to industry standards and not be more than five (5) years old.

regarding this requirement.
The estimated expenditure for the 5 year period is approximately
$250,000.00 (GST/HST extra).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
