The Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue (CFSSAR) of the
Department of National Defence, 19 Wing Comox, BC requires
Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) mountain, glacier
climbing and rescue training courses.
Location: Jasper/Hinton AB area, Columbia Ice Fields' area, and
Comox area (Strathcona Provincial Park).
Period of Contract: The period of the Contract is from date of
Contract to March 31, 2016, with the irrevocable option to
extend the term of the Contract by up to TWO/02 additional
ONE/01 year periods under the same conditions.
The Work or a portion of the Work to be performed under the
Contract will be on an "as and when requested basis" using a
Task Authorization (TA).

qualification requirements.
Bids must comply with the requirements of the solicitation
document and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to
be declared responsive and given further consideration. For the
purpose of ranking all technically acceptable bids, the
following ratio will factor into the technical/managerial
evaluation and the price component to establish a total
percentage score:
TECHNICAL/MANAGEMENT - 70% + PRICE - 30%
Contractor selection will be based on the assessed "Best Value"
to the Crown as determined by the highest overall total score as
calculated by a ratio of 70% for the Technical/Management
portion and 30% for the Price Component portion. Neither the
qualifying bidder which scores the highest volume of rated
points, nor the one which contains the lowest aggregate cost,
will necessarily be awarded a Contract.
