Flow Cytometer

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Burlington,
ON requires a Flow Cytometer as part of their recently created
Asian Carp program devoted to monitoring/prevention/managing
these invasive species. Primarily, the program will be dealing
with monitoring the forefront of the invasion using various
sampling techniques. One of which will be to determine the
fertility of captured/seized individuals through the use of flow
cytometry to determine ploidy. The instrument must be able to
effectively and reliably determine the ploidy of a sample of the
vitreous humor obtained from individuals of Grass, Silver and/or
Bighead Carp and to determine whether sample of Asian carp
vitreous humor is triploid or diploid (infertile/fertile
respectively).

The Contract will include the option to purchase one (1)
autosampler from the date of award to 31 March 2015.

All the deliverables must be received on or before 28 March 2013.
