# 305-307-024 – Defined Benefit Pension Administration Services

Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from Suppliers to provide Pension Administration.

Marine Atlantic is looking for a service provider with efficient and proven pension administration methodologies and systems, qualified staff, and a robust range of recordkeeping, calculation and reporting capabilities. Although the successful proponent will be responsible for all final calculations, a co-sourcing arrangement with the successful proponent must allow MAI to perform a number of administrative functions internally, including in-house calculations to assist employees with their options for retirement planning purposes. The successful proponent is also expected to offer an internet-based tool to facilitate employee self-service for “what if” calculations and ad hoc inquiries, as well as online DB plan information.
The successful proponent will be expected to undertake work within the following workstreams:
(a) client and plan member services including self-serve portal;
(b) data transfer and management;
(c) records retention and management;
(d) performance management;
(e) ongoing processing of retirements, terminations, deaths, buy backs, and marriage breakdowns;
(f) documentation of administration procedures;
(g) client reporting;
(h) period end processing, reporting and reconciliation;
(i) compliance monitoring; and
(j) maintenance of systems, forms and interfaces.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept proposals in whole or in part.  The lowest or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted.

The closing for receipt of proposals will be 14:00 pm Atlantic Time, October 17, 2024.

All documents related to the above noted procurement will only be available through the Merx electronic Bid Submission website.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS. This will be the only method of responses accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication.

Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour.  Late proposals will not be considered.

Marine Atlantique S.A. (MAI) invite les fournisseurs à lui soumettre des offres pour la prestation de services d'administration des pensions.

Marine Atlantique recherche un fournisseur de services qui possède des méthodes et des systèmes d'administration des pensions efficaces et éprouvés, un personnel qualifié et une solide gamme de capacités de tenue de dossiers, de calcul et de production de rapports. Bien que le soumissionnaire retenu soit responsable de tous les calculs finaux, un accord de co-sourcing avec le soumissionnaire retenu doit permettre à MAI d'effectuer un certain nombre de fonctions administratives en interne, y compris des calculs internes pour aider les employés à connaître les options qui s'offrent à eux en matière de planification de la retraite. (i) le contrôle de la conformité ; et
(j) la maintenance des systèmes, des formulaires et des interfaces.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d'accepter des propositions en totalité ou en partie.  La proposition la plus basse ou toute autre proposition ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.
