REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON THE PROVISION OF A SCIENCE WORKSPACE CATALOGUE
This Request for Information (RFI) is a consultation initiative that pursues the objective of determining whether the Government of Canada could acquire global perpetual non-restricted use of a Science Workspace Catalogue (broadly defined as a collection of templates for laboratory rooms, but may also include templates for support spaces) in order to reduce time, errors, and cost of designing such facilities throughout Canada in the future. Canada is considering a program of renewal for its science infrastructure, the Federal Science and Technology Infrastructure Initiative (FSTII), which includes both real property and other infrastructure aspects. Key to this initiative are the principles of flexible and repeatable design, and cost effective delivery of the overall renewal program.
The purpose of this RFI is to determine if a Science Workspace Catalogue, developed and actively used by a leading firm or firms, can be acquired outright by Canada. The responses from industry will enable Canada to evaluate the strategy to be taken, if any, in regards to issuing a solicitation for the required goods and services.
The publication of this RFI must not be construed as a commitment on Canada’s part to issue a subsequent Request for Proposal and no Contract or other form of commitment will be entered into with any suppliers based on responses to this RFI.
Suppliers interested in learning more about this opportunity should click on "Associated Components: Order" to download the complete RFI document.
