Request For Information (RFI):
Summary
The Department of Public Works and Governments Services Canada
(PWGSC) is conducting a Request For Information (RFI) for
Warehouse Space (Marshaling and Warehousing). The intent is to
solicit industry feedback on specific items prior to issuing a
Request for Standing Offer and/or re-access the procurement
strategy if necessary.
The purpose is to solicit interest for upcoming requirements as
described above;
Provide marshalling, warehousing and related services which
include, but not limited to receiving, unpacking, inspecting,
sorting, racking, grouping, repackaging, crating, data
recording, asset tagging, inventory control and shipment
preparation for a wide variety of furniture, furnishings,
appliances, office supplies, IT equipment, vehicles and other
materiel on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs Trade
and Development (DFATD). Provide local transportation services
(pick-up and delivery) to all DFATD locations within the
National Capital Region (NCR)
In this Request for Information (RFI), the Federal Government is
seeking comments, concerns and alternative recommendations to
the attached procurement strategy.
This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI will not result in the
issuance of any standing offer; therefore, potential suppliers
of any goods or services described in this RFI should not
earmark stock or facilities, nor allocate resources, as a result
of any information contained in this RFI. Nor will this RFI
result in the creation of any source list; therefore, whether or
not any potential supplier responds to this RFI will not
preclude that supplier from participating in any future
procurement. Also, the procurement of any of the services
described in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI.
This RFI is simply intended to solicit feedback from industry
with respect to the matters described in this RFI.
Respondents are requested to provide their comments, concerns
and, where applicable,
alternative recommendations on how the requirements or
objectives described in this RFI could be satisfied.
Respondents are also invited to provide comments regarding the
content, format and/or organization of any draft documents
included in this RFI. Respondents should explain any
assumptions they make in their responses.

Other Government Departments as listed in Schedules I, I.1, II
and III of the Financial Administration Act, R.S.C. 1985, c.
F-11.
The Period of Standing Offer:
01 December 2014 to 30 November 2017 with an irrevocable option
on the part of Canada to extend the period of the Standing Offer
by up to two (2) additional option years.
Security Requirement: Reliability clearance is required.
Trade Agreements: This requirement is subject to the Agreement
on Internal Trade (AIT).
