Statement of Work:
1. The intent of this Tender Call is to demolish, remove and
replace an existing 15 Ton Industrial overhead bridge crane with
a new 25 Ton micro-movement overhead bridge crane at the
Canadian Space Agency's - David Florida Laboratory, 3701 Carling
Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, in accordance with the attached Tender
Documents and complete in every respect (crane, hoist, trolley,
controls, electrical connections etc.) for a fully operational
system.
2. The scope of work is described in the attached documents
and shall include, but is not limited to : design,
manufacturing, delivering, supplying, instaltallingl,
constructing, commissioning, certification and training client
personnel etc.
3. The Contractor is to provide engineering design services
and construct the 25 Ton overhead bridge crane including all
electrical, control, mechanical, structural and other bridge
components in accordance with Tender Documents.
4. The project is to meet the deliverables and milestones
outlined in Section 01 32 16 - Construction Progress Schedule
Bar (GANTT) Chart.
5. Architectural finishes (drywall work, prime and paint)
involved in sealing and finishing an existing viewing gallery.
There will be an optional site visit on August 16, 2012 at
10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at the Canadian
Space Agency's - David Florida Laboratory, 3701 Carling Avenue,
Ottawa, Ontario. The person responsible for the site visit is
Mr. Magdi Farid.
