As the responsible technical authority for IM/IT systems at the Mapping & Charting Establishment (MCE), the MCE Engineering section comprises a small team of full time computer support specialists who provide IM/IT services to the system development, in-service support and life cycle management functions. This involves the provision of IT support services to all MCE specialized geospatial systems, server rooms and networks. A number of new projects that have been recently initiated have resulted in an increase in to the normal IM/IT support requirements that are now exceeding in-house capacity. MCE therefore requires two contracted resource to increase in-house IM/IT support capacity.
The two (2) resources to be hired under this contract will be providing system administrator and IM/IT support services to MCE LAN and stand-alone MCE systems. The work will include supporting all aspects of MCE systems hardware, software, networking, storage infrastructure, software installation, setup, configuration, optimization, testing and troubleshooting.
