To be manufactured in accordance with Department of National
Defence (DND) Specification DSSPM 2-2-87-514 dated 05 March 2013
"Specification for Flag, Casket and Wind Band" and to be
manufactured in accordance with Sealed Pattern DSSPM 256-11
(Wind Band, Casket) for design, colour, construction, finish and
hand.

Technical data (if applicable) shall be automatically issued to
firms, under separate cover from the Department of National
Defence, upon request for the bid documentation via Merx. If
bidders do not receive the technical data, they must contact
the contracting authority (Debbie Dusenbury) at
d••••••••@••••••••.••.ca) and/or (819) 956-9563.
Therefore, it is imperative that this request for bid
documentation be done as soon as possible to ensure timely
receipt of the associated technical data. However, the Crown
shall not be held responsible for untimely release of technical
data, since the technical package and sealed patterns shall be
available for viewing at the following Department of Public
Works and Government Services Regional Offices: Montréal, QUÉ;
Québec, QUÉ; Mississauga, ON; Winnipeg, MB; Edmonton, ALTA. and
Vancouver, BC.
The following pre-award samples are required:
Cloth sample - 0.5 m piece of polyester bunting, any colour, the
fabric properties to be in accordance with Table I of DSSPM
2-2-87-514
Certificate of compliance that cloth submitted is in accordance
with the properties in Table I of DSSPM 2-2-87-514.
One (1) Sample of Casket Flag (item 001) and Wind Band (item
002) is required that demonstrates the construction / assembly
techniques in accordance with DSSPM 2-2-87-514.
DELIVERY :
The first delivery is requested within 30 calendar days from the
date of the written notice of approval of pre-production
samples. The quantity delivered must be 20 each. The balance
must be delivered at the rate of 50-100 each monthly after the
first delivery until completion of the Contract.
Canada has the right to purchase optional quantites as follows:
Minimum of 250 units for each item; Maximum of 500 units of each
item. The option may be exercised at any time with a 24-month
period from date of contract.
If a bid is accepted, the Bidder may be required to provide
contract financial security, after the bid closing date and
within 10 calendar days from receipt of a written request from
the Contracting Authority.
Tendering procedure: This procurement is conditionally limited
to Canadian goods.

procurement.
