This contract work is part of an ongoing lake trout assessment study and recent program studying the fish community inhabiting Great Bear Lake, NT. Different habitats in the lake are sampled using gill nets and fish are sampled for biological information such as size, age, sex, maturity and fecundity on an annual basis. In addition to fish community sampling effort, a more community-based approach is intended where sampling of water quality and invertebrates are done independently of DFO by local technicians in areas near the community of Déli?ne, NT
