DESCRIPTION:The National Capital Region (NCR) is a rapidly growing area located on both sides of the Ottawa River. In January 2022, the NCC approved the Long-Term Integrated Interprovincial Crossings Plan for the National Capital Region, which sets out a vision for the long-term interprovincial movement of people and goods in the NCR. Managing goods movement in the NCR including truck travel in the urban core and across the Ottawa River is an important topic in the Plan. One of the Plan’s short-term strategies is to undertake commercial vehicle surveys.To address the data gap, the NCC is seeking the professional services of a Consultant to conduct surveys of interprovincial truck travel in the NCR. The assignment has two main technical components.
