Maintenance Services - Boilers and Hot Water Heaters

Requirement
To provide preventive maintenance and inspection services,
including all necessary tools, services,
materials, and labour on Boilers and Hot Water Heaters Equipment
in accordance with the Statement of
Work 8M3-1588-5 attached as Annex A.
This requirement is for Public Works and Government Services
Canada (PWGSC) located at CFS Leitrim
Base, 3545 Leitrim Road, Ottawa, Ontario.
Mandatory Response Time
As per Annex A "PWGSC Statement of Work 8M3-1588-5", SW 3.
"Service", items .9 and .10 it is a mandatory
requirement of this contract that:
1. All Calls between regular inspections must be answered by a
qualified service personnel within 30 minutes of receiving the
call on a 24 hour, 7 day basis. One of the named Service
personnel must be able to report on site ready to service the
system within two (2) hours of receiving the request for service
and such work must proceed continuously until the system is
returned to safe operating condition.
2. The Departmental Representative may request that the
Contractor's non working Service Manager respond on site within
two (2) hours of receiving the call on a 24 hour, 7 day basis
Mandatory Site Visit
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for site
visit to be held on July 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM. Bidders are to
meet at the main security post of the CFS LEITRIM (3545 Leitrim
Road, Ottawa, Ontario).
Due to the nature of the requirement, it is mandatory that
Bidders submit their name (legal name) and the name of each
individual that will be attending the site visit to the
Contracting Authority by e-mail at h••••••••@•••••.••.ca
or by facsimile at (819) 956-3600 no later than 5 day(s) before
the scheduled visit.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority prior to
the visit to confirm attendance.
Bidders will be required to sign an attendance form at the
beginning of the site visit. Failure to do so will render the
bidder's proposal non-responsive.
It is mandatory that bidders provide and wear safety boots for
the site visit. Bidders who do not wear safety boots will not be
permitted to attend the site visit.
Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
given an alternative appointment and their bids will be rejected
as non-compliant. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Period of the Contract
The period of any resulting Contract will be for five (5) years.
Security Requirement
Contractor personnel MAY NOT ENTER NOR PERFORM WORK ON sites
where PROTECTED or CLASSIFIED information or assets are kept,
without an escort provided by the department or agency for which
the work is being performed.
Basis of Selection
The Crown will issue a contract to the Bidder meeting all
mandatory criteria and with the lowest evaluated price.
