INFRASTRUCTURE TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES
(ITESS)
Requirement:
Shared Services Canada (SSC), on behalf of Human Resources
Skills and Development Canada (HRSDC) have a requirement for the
supply and delivery of Hardware and Software as well as
Maintenance and Support.
HRSDC operates its own Local Area Networks (LANs) using a
nationally administered model. The vast majority of LAN
infrastructure is Nortel based, consisting of Baystack edge
switches (425s and 470s) and Passport core switches. Some Cisco
2950 edge switches exist, as well as Cisco 6500 core switches,
but these are being phased out.
HRSDC's telephony environment is a combination of Centrex based
services and PBX switches for smaller, remote offices.
It is intended to result in the award of a contract for 1 year,
plus 3 one-year irrevocable options allowing Canada to extend
the term of the contract.
