This solicitation is limited for bidding among firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR).
Nature of Requirements:
Requirement EW038-222061/A - Carbon Neutral Study (CNS), Artic Logistic Hub, Resolute, NU
Requirement:
1.1. The Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) of Canada has developed and is the custodian of the Greening Government Strategy. The Greening Government Strategy, a mandatory cabinet directive, is designed to support the Government of Canada’s transition to net-zero carbon and climate-resilient operations. The Strategy recognizes that our collective response to climate change requires action to:
1.1. (a) Reduce GHG emissions; and,
1.1. (b) Increase resiliency of assets, services, and operations to adapt to the changing climate.
Scope of Work (SOW):
The purpose of this Carbon Neutral Study is to identify the technologies and strategies available, and determine the investment required, to reduce carbon emissions from the direct and indirect burning of fossil fuels used as an energy source in existing building operations.
To meet the intention of NRCan to achieve their goals for carbon emissions reductions, the Carbon Neutral Study will need to be at least innovative, if not bold, in providing engineering solutions, while maintaining the owner’s operational requirements, safe environments and the ability to fulfill NRCan’s mandate. Any solutions must be technically and financially feasible for each of the Options analyzed.
The Carbon Neutral Study will enhance the federal identity with respect to sound environmental stewardship and fiscal responsibility of its existing office building infrastructure.
The proponent must be a firm, licensed, or eligible to be licensed to provide the necessary professional services to the full extent that may be required by law in Nunavut.
This Request for Proposal is a 1 stage, 1 phase selection process. This means that the proponent must submit all technical information as phase 1, and at the same time, they must also submit their cost proposal in a separate sealed envelope. Ensure that information related to fees or costs are not included with the technical portion of the proposal.
Firms intending to submit bids on this project should obtain bid documents through the Government Electronic Tendering (GETS) service provider at http://Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.
