The Government of Alberta is seeking qualified aviation service providers to establish a pool of Preferred Vendors for the provision of Aircraft Rental Services in support of environmental monitoring, conservation, stewardship, and wildlife management activities across Alberta. The RFP covers four service types: (1) Airshed and Watershed Stewardship, (2) Heli-Stocking of Fish in Remote Lakes, (3) Oil Sands Monitoring, and (4) Wildlife Monitoring Surveys. Services may include the provision of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, pilots, crew, specialized equipment, fuel, and associated operational support.
Proponents may submit proposals for one, multiple, or all service types and for one or more geographic regions throughout Alberta. Successful proponents will enter into a Master Service Agreement with an initial term of three (3) years, with the option for the Province to extend for up to an additional twenty-four (24) months.
The Province intends to establish a pool of Preferred Vendors and Select Vendors capable of supporting both planned and emergency aviation operations. Services may include environmental monitoring, fish stocking, wildlife surveys, transportation of personnel and equipment, aerial telemetry, remote site access, and related aviation activities.
Interested proponents must demonstrate compliance with mandatory aircraft, pilot qualification, operational, safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements outlined in the RFP documents.
