As per the National Procurement Strategy for Furniture
Procurement, PWGSC will strive to attain an optimal balance
between influencing suppliers and government departments to use
environmentally preferable goods, services and processes while
ensuring value to Canadians. PWGSC is recommending to continue
the GC environmental criteria as well as the BIFMA Furniture
Sustainability Standard e3-2011 as the basis for the mandatory
and optional environmental criteria for future office furniture
solicitations.
As in past solicitations, PWGSC is considering including
mandatory and optional environmental criteria in upcoming
solicitations for office furniture. The Contracting Authority
is looking for supplier input in this area to make sure
requirements are feasible and industry is capable of meeting it.
We are seeking your feedback on the attached questionnaire
