Full description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
.1 The successful Consultant shall review the IDP including all supporting appendices, mapping, site photographs, Level 1 environmental reviews, regulatory requirements, stakeholder consultation summaries, and other available background information. The Consultant shall use this information to validate the IDP and develop the project while considering constructability, environmental and regulatory requirements, drainage and servicing considerations, traffic and access requirements, operational functionality, and
cost implications.

.2 The Consultant is to apply proven parks-based (non-urban) technical design practices in conjunction with appropriate tools and skilled resources through the Assessment, Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Approval Securement, Issued for Tender, Issued for Construction and Project Close Out phases for the site to achieve the end result desired by the Province.

.3 The work to be accomplished under this project includes:
.1 Complete all investigations, engineering design, any remaining environmental and regulatory approvals, tender documentation, construction administration, and project close-out services required to deliver the project.
.2 Assess and improve traffic circulation, vehicle movements, parking layout, and site functionality to support safe and efficient visitor access.
.3 The Consultant shall ground truth all proposed parking area improvements identified within the IDP and refine the preferred design based on field conditions, constructability, environmental constraints, operational requirements, and regulatory considerations
while remaining within the approved project disturbance limits unless otherwise approved by AFP.
.4 Base of Moose Mountain Road Parking Area - Approximately 0.20 hectares of new disturbance is proposed for the new parking area on the west side of Moose Mountain Road, and approximately 0.05 hectares of new disturbance is proposed for the redevelopment and expansion on the east side of Moose Mountain Road, including: (refer to RFP)
.5 2 Kilometer (km) Parking Area - Approximately 0.02 hectares of new disturbance is proposed for the redevelopment and expansion, including: (refer to RFP)
.6 Top of Moose Mountain Road Parking Area - Approximately 0.209 hectares of new disturbance is proposed for the redevelopment and expansion, including: (refer to RFP)
.7 For each of the parking areas: (refer to the RFP)

ANTICIPATED PROJECT SCHEDULE
.1 The project schedule calls for commencement of Contract by within five (5) business days of contract execution and completion of Services, by February 28, 2028.
