Full description

Dinosaur Provincial Park is a signature Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, experiencing high use/ visitation in Alberta Forestry and Parks’ (AFP) South Region. The park's infrastructure, particularly its water distribution system, has been serving the needs of the park for over 40 years. While not yet experiencing major failures, the existing infrastructure is approaching end of life and this project serves to provide lifecycle renewal of the water distribution system. This project is ranked as a high priority to be sequenced to coordinate construction impacts and closures with other upcoming capital upgrades planned in the park.

Potable water for the park is supplied through a regional connection with Newell County. The system is anchored by a Clearwell Potable Water Building which receives treated regional water from Brooks via a trickle feed supply line located below the primary park access road. This clearwell is below the former WTP building and serves as the primary storage reservoir and pumping facility for distributing potable water throughout the park. Much of this infrastructure, including the reservoir, pumphouse, and buried distribution piping, is aging and approaching the end of its service life.

The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed water distribution design, support approval securement, prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services for the replacement of the Dinosaur Provincial Park water distribution system as outlined within this RFP.

Refer to the RFP document for additional information and complete scope of work.
