Forestry and Parks - Request for Proposal - FireSmart Vegetation Management Activities - Elkwater (Cypress Hills Provincial Park)

Alberta Forestry and Parks, Parks South requires Vegetation Management services within Cypress Hills Provincial Park (CHPP), specifically in and around the Elkwater townsite. The purpose of this work is to reduce wildfire risk to community infrastructure, improve emergency access and egress, and enhance public safety.

Maintenance is required along a firebreak/sprinkler trail located at the South end of Elkwater, 3 Fire Lane sections in Elkwater and along the main entrance to town, Across from the helipad. (see amp in Appendix D).

The scope includes:
a) Vegetation management on vacant public land adjacent to private structures, following FireSmart Canada guidelines.
b) Ensuring all completed sites reflect a park setting, with final deliverables emphasizing cleanliness, safety, and ecological integrity.
