An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community
that a department or agency intends to award a contract for
goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier,
thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in
bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no
supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the
requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date
stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed
with the award.

The Canadian Forces Support Training Group in coordination with

it will be necessary for CF personnel from the School of
Military Mapping to use the service providers facilities to
supplement the training provided to incorporate a military
perspective. It is necessary that the contracted service
provider be located within the city of Ottawa. The only known
facility located in Ottawa that can deliver the required
training resulting in a post secondary community college
approved certificate in geomatics which culminates in a
provincially approved diploma in geomatics, is Algonquin
