Gravenhurst, On, Finance & Parole Hearing Bldg.
Scope of Work
The project is located in an existing landscaped area near the
entry to Beaver Creek Institution, a minimum security
institution near Gravenhurst Ontario. The project comprises a
new 470 square metre building that supports facility entry
functions, parole board hearings and a finance office. The
building has no basement and is a single story steel frame
structure on concrete spread footings with stacked architectural
block veneer.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
An Optional site visit will be held on August 14, 2012 at 10:00
A.M. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.
Interested contractors, please contact the Contracting Officer,
Bob Hassell at (416) 590-8270 to confirm attendance and provide
the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend prior to the site
visit. Interested bidders are to meet at the site, Beaver Creek
Institution, P.O. Box 1240, 2000 Beaver Creek Dr, Gravenhurst,
On, P1P 1W9.
Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
The duration of work is scheduled to be completed by April 30,
2013.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
cost category:
Between $1,300,000.00 and $2,200,000.00 (HST extra).
