Title:
Comprehensive Bridge and Culvert Inspections

Location:
Km 232 to Km 938 Alaska Highway, B.C.

Description of Work:
Public Works and Government Services Canada, in conformance with
its policy on bridge inspection and evaluation, requests
proposals from qualified consultants for professional services
required to undertake a detailed comprehensive inspection of the
fifty-six bridges and seven culverts under the jurisdiction of
PWGSC on the Alaska Highway in the province of British Columbia.
In addition, this contract will include performing a Load Rating
Evaluation of six bridges in Year 2013 and five bridges in Year
2015. Proponents must be structural engineering firms, licensed
or eligible to be licensed to provide the necessary professional
services to the full extent that may be required by provincial
law in the province of British Columbia.

This procurement will follow a one phase submission process.
Proponents must be able to demonstrate successful delivery of
these services over the last ten (10) years. In general, the
firm and its personnel will be evaluated on the basis of their
achievements, their demonstrated understanding of the project,
scope of services, management of services, inspection
philosophy/ approach/methodology, load rating approach and
methodology, as well as the cost of the provision of the
services.

Delivery:
The period of the contract is from official acceptance of
proposal to November 15, 2015. Project completion dates will be
as follows:
Phase 1 - Report on detailed inspection which includes
underwater inspection and load rating evaluation is to be
completed by November 15, 2013

completed by November 15, 2015.
