The Department of Fisheries and Oceans annually collects fish and marine mammal samples all across the Arctic. Currently our freezers are at capacity and we require a storage facility within Manitoba to store the samples.

The freezer facility will be required to store up to 124 pallets of samples for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and up to 141 pallets over 4 option years. The freezer facility will also be required to store biohazardous samples.
