Nature of Requirements:
Title: Photoacoustic Extinctiometer
Environment Canada, Downsview, ON has a requirement for the
supply and delivery of quantity 3, Photoacoustic
Extintinctiometers in three laser wavelengths (870 nm, 532 nm,
and 405 nm). The instruments will be used to determine aerosol
extinction, single scattering albedo and black carbon mass
concentration through direct measure of in-situ light absorption
and scattering of aerosol particles.
Some of the Mandatory Technical Specifications are:
1. The instruments must use photoacoustic method to meadure
absorption of particles;
2. Be capable of measuring in the range of 1Mm -1 to
10,000Mm-1;
3. Data acquisition rate of 1 Hz or less;
4. Ethernet (100/10Mbps) and RS-232 serial communication;
5. Dimensions must be a minimum of 8" high and 25" deep;
6. Each instrument must weigh 50 lbs or less.

Delivery is required by March 31, 2014 or sooner.
