TITLE: The Canadian Forces Modernization Innovation,
Collaboration and Exchange Environment (ICee) Web-Based
Collaborative Platform
The Innovation, Collaboration and Exchange Environment (ICee) is
a web-based wiki-type collaborative platform managed by Defence
Research and Development Canada (DRDC), an agency from the
Department of National Defence, where users from a variety of
horizons - businesses, research organizations, non profit
organizations, academia and governments - have the opportunity
to exchange, collaborate to and work in increased synergy on
technology domains related to the Canadian Forces Modernization
Effort.
ICee was launched in 2009 in the framework of the Soldier
Systems Technology Roadmap project and counts more than 600
registered users. Content is growing every day and you can
contribute to it too! The vision is to create a "collaborative
encyclopaedia" that gathers all relevant knowledge on the
modernization of the Canadian Forces that can be useful to the
community of interest.
The ICee is open to all and we invite you to register now.
Here are the easy steps to follow to register to the ICee:
1. Go to ICee login page
2. Click on the Industry Canada Registration link (you must
first register to Industry Canada's database to create your
username and password)
3. Once your Industry Canada account is created, go back to the
ICee login page, enter your username and password and then fill
in the short form.
Once registered, you can create as many pages as you want to
promote your expertise, potential solutions, needs (e.g. R&D,
technology, sub-system) and/or go on the ICee to find relevant
content such as events, technology review, information on
standards, lessons learned, R&D support programs, Canadian
Forces capability programs and potential partners, to foster
innovation within your organization.
The ICee is really easy to use and training sessions through
webinars can be arranged.
