Line 1, GSIN: N1005A, Surefire Light, Quantity: 1, Unit of Issue: Each, Delivery Date: See Herein
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) requires a standing offer for the supply and delivery of Surefire Lights, Model # M600U-Z68-BK to its Armourer Sections located in Regina, Saskatchewan and Ottawa, Ontario on an as requested basis.
The period of the standing offer is June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2026.
The limited tendering reasons for the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Article 513:
(b)(v) To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative.
No Substitute Justification:
The RCMP currently utilizes the Surefire light listed herein on all of its standard issue Carbine rifles. For officer safety and training reasons the RCMP requires these rifles to be fitted identically. Changing to a new light would require re-training of over 18,000 members. To change the light would also result in additional expenditures as the light is positioned in a specific location via the use of an alternate offset mount to both improve manipulation of the lights activation switch as well as positioning the accessory to be compatible with other operational requirements (i.e., in-vehicle weapon rack, additional accessories on the rifles, ambidextrous or specific operator positioning requirements, etc.).
Delivery Date: Above-mentioned
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
