Disaster Recovery Facilities and Services
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) wishes to enter into a contract with a vendor for the following requirement:
CMHC has a commitment through its Business Continuity Plan to supply a stable operating environment for its critical information processing platforms. To satisfy this requirement, CMHC must avoid or mitigate disruptions to this service, which may be caused by events rendering its main computer facility and/or extended platforms in Ottawa unusable.
CMHC’s objectives are as follows:
- To minimize the impact of any disruption to CMHC by contracting with a Service Provider having at least five years experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) Services, for the provision of a suitable alternate computing facility for CMHC production processing and redundancy site platforms for a five (5) year term with one (1) optional one year extensions;
- To establish a dedicated space at the DR facility to house our redundant server, storage and telecommunication equipment.
- To engage resources for assistance to CMHC in the case of a disaster, for conducting regular test exercises and for the management of changes in the DR equipment in the dedicated space.
- To maintain an effective recovery plan to support a seamless availability of computer services during a disaster situation.
The value of this service is expected to range up to $3,000,000 CDN, including all applicable taxes.
The quotation must be received at the exact location as specified in the RFP document on or before the submission deadline of 2:00 p.m. EDT, on June 3, 2013.
