LETTRE D’INTÉRÊT-Appel aux contributeurs autochtones – Outil d’information sur les risques d’inondation au Canada

Public Safety Canada is seeking expressions of interest from Indigenous organizations to engage with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities to solicit and collect contributions to aid in the input of culturally relevant content for the Government of Canada’s Flood Risk Finder (publicly known as the ‘flood portal’).

This initiative aims to increase public awareness of flood risks and provide Indigenous-centered flood risk reduction resources and perspectives on flooding, water, and community resilience. Contributions may include stories, quotes, examples, case studies, historical accounts, community-based expertise, and other materials informed by lived experience and oral history.

Public Safety Canada will begin reviewing interested parties on September 23rd, 2025 and follow up with selected contributors to discuss next steps.
