(NCR)
1. Nature of Request for Information:
This is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a bid
solicitation. No Contract or Supply Arrangement will be issued
as a result of this RFI: however, this RFI includes questions
for Industry feedback. The written comments received by Canada
will not be specifically shared or referred to in the final
solicitation document. Comments provided as a result of this RFI
should not contain any restrictions of use. Canada acknowledges
that any information collected will be utilized by Canada in an
anonymous fashion.
2. Background:
Since 2002, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC),
Western Region, has
awarded National Master Supply Arrangements (NMSAs) and National
Master Standing Offers
(NMSOs) for various Printing Services and Products on behalf of
regions outside of the National
Capital area.
PWGSC, Western Region, currently has NMSAs and NMSOs in place to
provide Identified
Users (Federal government users) outside of the National Capital
area with the framework to
permit expeditious processing of individual requirements for
national delivery across Canada
and the Comprehensive Land Claim Settlement Areas (CLCSA) in the
Nunavut and Northwest
Territories. An NMSA currently exists for Identified Users
within the National Capital Region
(NCR).
These solicitations result in legally binding contracts for the
printing services and products described in those bid
solicitations.
3. Purpose of this RFI:
This RFI, initiated by PWGSC Western Region, is to:
alert Industry to future procurement actions for the supply of
printing services and products for requirements originating from
Federal government departments and agencies outside the National
Capital area;
obtain feedback from Industry concerning the procurement method
and evaluation criteria.
Recently, PWGSC National Capital Region (NCR), issued an RFI to
the Supplier Community
for feedback on the contracting tools that currently exist for
Identified Users within the NCR.
4. Requirements:
This requirement is for the supply of printing services and
products outside the National Capital area for delivery across
Canada. Federal government departments and agencies will be
strongly encouraged to utilize these instruments. PWGSC may
restrict the use of alternatives to these supply arrangements in
the future. These Supply Arrangements will include, but not be
limited to, the following:
Printing Services:
Sheet-fed Offset Printing Services
Web Offset Printing Services
Security Printing Services
Digital and Business Card Printing Services.
Printing Products:
Brochures
Newsletters
Inserts
Posters
